Moving Bed Bio Reactor (MBBR)
MBBR waste water treatment system is cost effective, save money in Operation & Maintenance, has the lower hydraulic retention time(HRT) among biological Process. In MBBR, the biofilm media carries holds MBBR system bacteria, hence the system the system processes life span also increases
Gallant Aquatech has expertise in Design and builds MBBR caring to wide industry application

How Does MBBR Work?
- Biofilm Carrier Media: Specially designed plastic media (carriers) provide a surface for beneficial bacteria to grow and form biofilms.
- Aeration and Mixing: The carriers remain in continuous motion due to aeration in aerobic systems or mechanical mixing in anoxic systems.
- Biological Treatment: The bacteria on the carriers break down organic matter, nitrogen, and other pollutants in the wastewater.
- Separation: After treatment, the clean water is separated from the carriers using a clarifier or membrane filtration.
- Discharge or Further Treatment: Treated water is either discharged or subjected to further treatment, such as filtration and disinfection.

Advantages:
- 1.Sludge production is lower.
- 2.Can handle wide stock loads.
- 3.High effectiveness of sludge retention time which enchases the
Filtration processes. - 4.Saving of space and easy maintained.
- 5.Capital investment and does not require chemicals in its operation.
- 6.Effluent water quality suitable of irrigation.
- 3.High effectiveness of sludge retention time which enchases the
Applications of MBBR
- Municipal Wastewater Treatment: Used in sewage treatment plants for biological treatment.
- Industrial Wastewater Treatment: Applied in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and chemicals.
- Upgrading Existing Plants: Helps enhance the capacity and efficiency of existing wastewater treatment systems.
- Decentralized Wastewater Treatment: Used in small communities, resorts, and remote areas where centralized treatment is not feasible.
